If you are looking for a mid-tower case which is compatible with high-end graphics cards, ATX motherboard as well as extensive watercooling setup, Corsair's SPEC-OMEGA enclosure might be just what you've been looking for. SPEC-OMEGA is available in three colors and it's rather similar to the previous model that we have reviewed a few months ago. This case is compatible with almost any kind of hardware as well as extensive custom water cooling setups.
The SPEC-OMEGA is a mid-tower chassis that's been made from SECC and tempered glass. On this case the tempered glass is used on the left side while the main chassis is made out steel. This case is an improved version of the SPEC-ALPHA from Corsair that we have reviewed a few months ago. The SPEC-OMEGA measures 495 x 232x 516mm and classifies as a mid-tower.
On the inside there is space for ATX motherboards. Cooling wise there is space for one big radiator (360mm) that can be mounted in the front and for another radiator (240mm or 280mm) on the top. In addition there is enough space for high-end tower coolers, which can measure up to 170mm in height. The internal layout is overall simple and straightforward, you can install up to three SSDs behind the motherboard's tray and up to two HDDs close to the PSU. At the front of the case, there are two USB 3.0 ports as well as standard HD audio jacks, alongside power and reset switches.
According to Corsair, the SPEC-OMEGA should be available soon for $99 USD. A few days ago we have received the case and on following you can find some pictures that we have done.
